Most AI dancing video generators make the person in your photo dance. This AI dancing video generator works the other way round. The dancer never changes: he's the little man from the Rumpelstiltskin meme, made by us with AI. What you bring is the scene, a photo or a short video, and he dances in it. If you were hoping to make yourself or your cat dance, this isn't that tool.

How to use the AI dancing video generator

1. Pick a move

The Meme Dance is selected when the page opens. It's the meme's dance, ending with him flying a circle around your scene. The Hop, The Shush and The Spin are shorter loops. The move cards play on a loop, so you can see each one before you choose.

2. Add your background

Use a JPG, PNG or WebP photo up to 20 MB, or an MP4, MOV or WebM video up to 30 seconds and 200 MB. Before anything uploads, your browser shrinks big photos, converts the video to 1080p at most and drops its audio, so big phone videos upload faster.

A photo gives you a still scene with him moving in it. A video keeps your scene moving too, so traffic going by or waves rolling in keep moving behind him.

He always stands in the same place at the same size: in the middle of the frame, feet near the bottom. Vertical photos and videos fill the whole frame. Leave a bit of open floor in the middle of your shot so he doesn't end up pasted over a table or a lamp.

3. Watch the free preview

A still of him standing in your scene shows up first, then the moving preview, low-res and watermarked. Without an account you get 5 free previews a day. Signing in raises that to 15. They reset every day at midnight UTC.

4. Unlock and download

Unlocking a video uses 1 credit. Under the preview you can buy just that one, a 10-video pack or Pro, which gives you credits for more. This is the only point where you sign in, with Google or an emailed link, so your videos and credits follow you to any device. After paying you land back on the same video and it unlocks by itself. You get the full-length MP4 (about 14 seconds for The Meme Dance, 10 for the others) at up to 1080p, plus the sticker, GIF, transparent and green-screen versions, each with a download button as soon as it's ready.

5. Optional: make it look real with AI

Once a video is unlocked, a button underneath offers an AI re-render for 1 credit. AI redraws a 5-second version so the light and shadows match your background, and you get that version as an MP4, a sticker and a GIF. If your background is a video, the AI version starts from its first frame. For The Meme Dance, it covers the swaying and kicking part, not the flight.

It usually takes about a minute. You can leave the page while it works; the result appears at the same link and in your history. If it fails, takes far too long or is stopped by our content check, you get the credit back.

Adding sound to your AI dance video on each app

TikTok

Upload your video, then tap the sound from any Rumpelstiltskin video and use it for yours.

Instagram Reels

Pick your video in the Reels editor, then add the track from Instagram's own music library.

YouTube Shorts

Add music with the Shorts tools while you create the Short. Don't put the song into the file before you upload: YouTube's Content ID matches songs in uploaded videos, and the rights holder then decides whether your Short gets blocked, carries their ads or is just tracked.

Editing in CapCut first?

CapCut's license lets you post its commercial sounds on CapCut, TikTok and TikTok for Business only, so for Reels or Shorts, add the sound inside those apps instead.

What this AI dance video generator can't do

  • It can't move him or change his size. Only The Meme Dance moves the camera around him.
  • It can't promise every attempt works. A preview that fails is retried once automatically, and if it still fails, it doesn't count toward your free previews.
  • The AI re-render can't promise he'll look the same. It redraws the whole clip, so his face and expression may come out a little different from the move you picked.
  • Backgrounds can show places, things, pets or you, but not other people or anyone under 18.

Questions about the AI dancing video generator

Is this AI dancing video generator free?

Making previews is free, with no sign-up. Downloading the clean video costs $7.90 for one, and the cheaper per-video options are on the pricing page.

Do I need to download an app?

No. It works in the browser on your phone or computer. On a phone, the upload button opens your photo library, so you can pick a photo or a video straight from it.

Can I type a prompt, or upload a dance for him to copy?

No to both. You pick one of the four moves. Each one is a clip we made ahead of time and place into your background, which is why the preview comes back quickly and why he can't do moves that aren't on the list.

Can I make a longer AI dancing video?

Not in one go. For something longer, download the transparent or green-screen version of him and loop it over your own footage in an editor.

Who can see my uploads? Do you use them to train AI?

Every video has its own link with a random ID, so only people you send it to can watch the preview, and only your account can download the clean file. Your uploads are used to make and check your videos, nothing else: they're not used to train AI models, they're not sold, and they're deleted after 24 hours.
