What the video to sticker converter makes, and where each file goes

This page doesn't take clips from your camera roll or a TikTok link, and it has no trimming or text tool. For your own clips, WhatsApp announced in June 2025 that its sticker maker can turn videos into moving stickers.

The stickers here are all of one character: the dancing Rumpelstiltskin from the AI video that went viral in September 2026. The pack at the top is six stickers cut from his moves, ready as they are. And every video you make and unlock in the generator comes with its own sticker, so the video to sticker converter here works on anything you've made with him.

Moving WhatsApp stickers

The easiest way in is WhatsApp's own sticker maker: make a new sticker in WhatsApp and pick a GIF or the MP4, and it comes out moving. Picked there, a .webp comes out still, so the .webp files are for sticker apps: save one to your phone and add it with an app that makes WhatsApp packs. WhatsApp doesn't let a website drop stickers into the app.

Sticker with your background

The sticker that comes with an unlocked video shows him dancing in your scene. Your background fills the square, so it isn't see-through like the pack.

GIF

Every unlocked video also has a GIF, and the pack has one for each sticker. A GIF is what WhatsApp's sticker maker turns into a moving sticker, and it pastes into iMessage, Telegram, Discord or a comment box too. We don't make separate sticker files for other apps.

Files for video editors

An unlocked video also comes with the MP4 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts (silent, so you add the sound there), a transparent WebM of just him for editors that support transparency, and a green-screen MP4 for editors with a chroma key tool, such as CapCut.

Is this video to sticker converter free?

WhatsApp sticker rules we take care of

WhatsApp needs a 512×512 WebP, under 500KB and 10 seconds. We handle that.

Size and length aren't WhatsApp's only rules. Its sticker guidelines also say a pack needs at least 3 stickers and no more than 30, can't mix still and animated stickers, and needs a tray icon: a still 96×96 picture under 50KB that stands for the pack in the sticker picker. The pack follows all of that: six animated stickers and a tray icon.

His velvet coat is the hard part. All that texture takes a lot of data to animate, so each sticker runs at 12 frames a second and lasts between 1.2 and 2.5 seconds before it loops.
